Adventures in Wonder Trading, Part Four

And of course, what do I find myself doing when I have a random evening free? Again, I have a large amount of Froakie to dispose of, and I rather think that someone might like to receive one, than my leaving them to languish in a PC box somewhere.

N.b all of these were carried out between 7pm -10pm GMT on 23/03/18.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Grimer (Lv. 10) -> Buneary (Lv. 2) -> Magikarp (Lv. 49) -> Gligar (Lv. 1) -> Vulpix (Lv. 1) -> Snorunt (lv. 1) -> Stunfisk (Lv. 60) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Tentacool (Lv. 25) -> Zubat (Lv. 1) -> Zorua (Lv. 1) -> Deino (Lv. 1)

Hmm, okay, interesting.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Deino (Lv. 1) -> Butterfree (Lv. 10) -> Porygon (Lv. 1)

Well, apart from the utter weirdness of getting two Deino in a row, that’s inter- oh wait, my Porygon just evolved into a Porygon2. Oh nice.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Skarmory (Lv. 25) -> Salandit (Lv. 22)

Why do I find the idea of being sent a female Salandit with a Naughty Nature so funny?

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Skarmory (Lv. 1) -> Mawile (Lv. 1) -> Smeargle (Lv. 21) -> Pikipek (Lv. 3) -> Pikipek (Lv. 3) -> Hakamo-o (Lv. 41)

Hmm, okay.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Lurantis (64)

But a shiny Lurantis? …

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Glalie (Lv. 47) -> Rockruff (Lv. 1) -> Charmander (Lv. 1)

Back to collecting Charmanders!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Swanna (Lv. 60) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Barboach (Lv. 10) -> Audino (Lv. 36) -> Grubbin (Lv. 1) -> Yveltal (Lv. 100)

Well, that’s a nice handy version exclusive I don’t have to hunt for on the GTS now.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Hawlucha (Lv. 25) -> Roselia (Lv. 1)

Hmm, I like Roserade.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Carbink (Lv. 23) -> Golduck (Lv. 43) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Litten (Lv. 1)

The curse of the Litten has struck!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Charmander (Lv. 1)

I wonder what I can get as my record number of Charmander in one session doing this is?

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Salandit (Lv. 17) -> Snorunt (lv. 45) -> Fearow (Lv. 28) -> Charmander (Lv. 1)

Oh, haha. I need to get a Dawn Stone for evolving my Snorunt at some point as well…

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Rockruff (Lv. 1) -> Wingull (Lv. 5) -> Poliwag (Lv. 40) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Yungoos (Lv. 2) -> Granbull (Lv. 61) -> Grubbin (Lv. 5) -> Igglybuff (Lv. 1)

Going to use it for my living Pokédex.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Abra (Lv. 1) -> Larvitar (Lv. 1)

Hmm, it’s decent.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Drifloon (Lv. 10) -> Kecleon (Lv. 17) -> Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Abomasnow (Lv. 60) -> Absol (Lv. 1) -> Gible (Lv. 1) -> Vulpix (Lv. 1) -> Beldum (Lv. 1) -> Magnemite (Lv. 12) -> Grubbin (Lv. 1) -> Grubbin (Lv. 1) -> Salandit (Lv. 18) -> Bounsweet (Lv. 5)

Oh, hello random Shiny. I’ll have it, but I think it’s hacked. Hmm.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Zorua (Lv. 14) -> Machamp (Lv. 37)

Well, it’s one less trade evo I’ll have to hunt down later.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Diglett (Lv. 2) -> Stunfisk (Lv. 60) -> Sandile (Lv. 1)

A surprise Pokédex entry appears!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Cutiefly (lv. 10) -> Remoraid (Lv. 30)

Another wild Pokédex entry appears!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Houndour (Lv. 1) -> Snubbull (Lv. 55) -> Gible (Lv. 1) -> Charmander (Lv. 1)

I can probably go into the Charmander trade at some point, the rate I’m going…

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Spinarak (Lv. 1) -> Marill (Lv. 1) -> Zorua (Lv. 1) -> Spinarak (Lv. 3) -> Chimchar (Lv. 1)

Well, it breaks the monotony of Charmander / Litten, I guess.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Octillery (Lv. 35)

Another Pokédex entry appears!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Slowpoke (Lv. 40) -> Vulpix (Lv. 1) -> Petilli (Lv. 1) -> Riolu (Lv. 1) -> Wingull (Lv. 54) -> Charmander (Lv. 1)

…hah hah.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Caterpie (Lv. 2) -> Rockruff (Lv. 11) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Helioptile (Lv. 1) -> Inkay (Lv. 44) -> Pikipek (Lv. 3) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Gastrodon (Lv. 42) -> Mimikyu (Lv. 1) -> Pikipek (Lv. 12) -> Gible (Lv. 1) -> Popplio (Lv. 1)

Hmm.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Furfrou (Lv. 10) -> Grubbin (Lv. 3) -> Minior (Lv. 1) -> Pichu (Lv. 14) -> Tropius (Lv. 43) -> Phantump (Lv. 22) -> Magikarp (Lv. 1) -> Purrloin (Lv. 3)

Well, the Phantump evolving was a nice bonus, other than that, but something unavailable is also nice.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Lombre (Lv. 60) -> Abra (Lv. 10) -> Charmander (Lv. 1)

A quarter of what I’ve received so far in this session are Charmander, I’m beginning to pick up on a theme here.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Mudbray (Lv. 14) -> Wigglytuff (Lv. 18)

Nearly got the entire ‘Iggly’ family now.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Lotad (Lv. 1) -> Torchic (Lv. 1)

Another Fire-type starter!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Grimer (Lv. 10) -> Piplup (Lv. 1)

Ah, that makes a nice change!

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Cutiefly (Lv. 12) -> Cutiefly (Lv. 53) -> Ledyba (Lv. 1) -> Mimikyu (Lv. 1) -> Fletchling (Lv. 12) -> Mimikyu (Lv. 1) -> Eevee (Lv. 1) -> Pichu (Lv. 1) -> Rattata (Lv. 2) -> Swinub (Lv. 1) -> Dratini (Lv. 1)

Eh, it’s a nice one to play around with, might make it into a Physical Attacker.

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Cubone (Lv. 19) -> Mimikyu (Lv. 1) -> Ekans (Lv. 10) -> Psyduck (Lv. 12) -> Pikipek (Lv. 2) -> Cottonee (Lv. 5) -> Cubone (Lv. 16) -> Mimikyu (Lv. 1) -> Grubbin (Lv. 3) -> Ledian (Lv. 22) -> Magnemite (Lv. 7) -> Musbray (Lv. 12) -> Audino (Lv. 60) -> Abra (Lv. 1) -> Gible (Lv. 1) -> Ledian (Lv. 18) -> Nidoran (Lv. 1)

Yeah, Nidoran(M) army! I think I have three now…

  1. Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Diglett (Lv. 21) -> Abra (Lv. 1) -> Yungoos (Lv. 23) -> Wailmer (Lv. 43) -> Mudbray (Lv. 11) -> Lillipup (Lv. 2) -> Pelipper (Lv. 41) -> Froakie (Lv. 1) -> Oricorio (Lv. 57) -> Gumshoos (Lv. 45) -> Wingull (Lv. 6) -> Nosepass (Lv. 22) -> Bagon (Lv. 1)

Eh, it’s not terrible.

So, it goes to show, if you’re happy to continue a long chain of Wonder Trades, you can dig some interesting stuff out of it. I really do find it interesting how there seems to be a pattern of it going so far as ‘fairly awful Com Mon’ then ‘something decent’ then ‘something awful’ and so on and so forth.

Maybe one day I’ll finish with my Froakie army…
