After a long discussion at our rail station, Steve and I decided we would follow in the footsteps of last year, and go the Wapping Route to get to the Tobacco Docks for EGX Rezzed. However, in what is quickly becoming Rezzed tradition, a certain London and south eastern railway region operator caused us to miss our first train to Wapping due to travelling at the speed of molasses for a very painful twenty minutes inching through South London, but we got there in the end. And I know I complain about this every year, but the signage at Wapping station for the event could have been better (or even, any kind of signage to point you in the right direction upon leaving the station) – although at least getting to the Tobacco Dock is virtually a straight line down Wapping Lane!

2017 was a bit of a hit and miss year for gaming, I felt. Games tended to be rather good… or rather rubbish. However, I do feel as though it was a good final year for the 3DS and PC, at the very least, with games from both dominating in our Top Ten for 2017. With the UK release of Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon last week, I thought I’d take a quick look back over the OST of Pokémon Sun/Moon and see if I could nail down a favourite ten. Well, this year, myself and Steve decided not to go the Shadwell DLR route in order to get to the event (probably because we missed… our Lewisham train), and so ended up having to go into Central London and back out from there – however, despite it requiring two changes and getting off at Wapping rather than Shadwell DLR, the journey was comparable to what we’ve done before. Slightly quicker, possibly, this time we were there before 10am. However, we (once again) had the same problem with regards to signage – once out at Wapping station, there was nothing to direct you to the event. However, as it was literally a straight path down Wapping Lane, almost, it was fairly easy.

I have to say, I actually found coming up with this list a little bit tricky – mainly on account of me feeling that 2016 was a bit of a lacklustre year as far as videogame releases went. However, after a lot of soul-searching (and playing the games which did come out in 2016), I have managed to nail down a top ten games, released in this last year.

Today, myself and Steve went to the London Gaming Market’s first opening day. The London Gaming Market was held in the Royal National Hotel in Russell Square. We found it easy to get to from London Bridge, with there being both the Russell Square Underground station and several bus routes which stop nearby in Tavistock Square. We both think the location was fairly easy to find walking from Tavistock Square.

With the UK release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire coming this Friday, I thought in preparation I would take a look over the original games’ soundtrack, and see if I could pick out my ten favourite tracks from the game.
